If your little ones are under 5, fall is usually the best season to book. During September and October, the light is still warm and golden, but sessions start earlier in the evening… before bedtime! This helps keep kids happy, rested, and relaxed. Fall sessions start roughly an hour and half before sunset, meaning a start time of roughy 4 to 5 pm.

Summer sessions are better for older kiddos because they can run late (starting around 6:30–7:00 PM), which can be tough for younger children, so fall often gives us the best mix of beautiful light and cheerful smiles.

What to Expect — From Inquiry to Gallery Delivery

The process is simple and stress-free! After your initial inquiry, you’ll receive an informative email with a link at the bottom “Get Started” that will take you to my session packages, pricing, and scheduling link. One your have picked your date, scheduled your session and paid your deposit you will receive an email with a questionnaire that helps me get to know your family and tailor your session to fit your personalities.

You’ll also receive access to a Welcome Site filled with session tips and location recommendations. The week before your session, I’ll check in to confirm timing, location, and any final details.

Your session itself is relaxed, fun, and full of connection — no stiff poses here and lots of games for the littles!

Within 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive your beautifully edited images in an easy-to-use online gallery with built-in print options to make ordering simple.

I never gate keep locations… some of my favorite spots (and most popular spots) include the sweeping views at South Mesa Trail, the open fields of NCAR Table Mesa, and the iconic Chautauqua Park with its mountain magic.
